One of my all-time favorite movies with Patty McCormick. We saw her and listened to her poolside at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood 2015 at the Turner classic movie festival. Thought I’d try it in a book. I’m sure I’ve seen the movie a dozen times.

I’m giving up. I cannot count the number of times. I’ve tried to read this book. And this time after listening to Kerri Miller of MPR I listened to it and read along. I will say I got much further this way, but was simply bored to tears. The writing is a frustrating-Old English. Story-Much ado about NOTHING! I’m done. I’ll attempt to do the same with P&P as it’s rec. to be a beginners 1st!

Wow. OMG, this is so far out of my comfort zone. I’m getting cramps in my brain. People are just soooo much smarter than me. Great information. My comprehension is a huge strain. I’ll keep at it though. It’s fascinating.

Oh my God, I can’t even. I’ve been picking some mindless be treating for the summer, but even this is too much for me. It is so poorly written it’s embarrassing. I give up. I don’t have that kind of time.

I shouldn’t listen to books on this idiot. It makes me crazy and feeling even more helpless. It’s truly hard to believe that this country has gotten into this situation.

This one’s in honor of my sister. One of the many. I miss her.

This is an extremely difficult read for me. I may have to switch to audio. So interesting though. A tough narrative to reconcile, the Comanche people lived a long, brutal life of survival. Powerful account -eye opening parallels to modern day life in some ways.

Even after 56% I’m out. It’s kinda boring and I’m struggling to enjoy any of it. DNF
