It’s sad to hear that Billy prophesied the important of an Air Force, yet never got to see the day where his prediction came true. Also a lot of backstory, not much movement learning about the Flyboys

I forgot that James Bradley was such a good writer. These first two chapters laid good groundwork into (1) showing why he feels telling this story is important and (2) giving the backstory on how Japan turned from a peaceful isolated nation into the force they became in WWII. I think I’m in for a good read here.

At this point I have no words, I just want to keep reading.

The more the book goes on, the more my love for sci-fi is reignited. This might have to become a book shelf purchase.

Hoooooooly I didn’t expect the book to go in this direction. But wow is it captivating. While at times I do have this sense of numbness when it comes to the scientific jargon, it’s been such an interesting read so far.

The intrigue grows by the page. I wasn’t really into the cold open for the first few chapters, but at this point I’m eating it up.

The Vault of Souls was way more important than I thought, and now that Eragon returned to the Varden he has a plan. Smells like the climax is fast approaching.

Eragon and Saphira are getting to their destination. I’m excited to see what they find. Maybe the third egg???

A great win for the rebels, but I didn’t see that ambush coming.

Welcome back Glaedr

The city of Aroughs has been taken, but at the cost of Carn’s life and the siege left Roran half-dead. (RIP Carn) Hopefully Roran will be able to make it back to Dras-Leona safely before he dies from the infection he clearly has. The healers at the main Varden camp should be able to mend him back to full health.

Things are happening, it’s getting pretty gooood.
