I am not enjoying this author's writing, especially in this second book. in the first one, I saw this issue a bit less but inevitably I feel like the whole of the important themes and diverse characters somehow seems empty and in some points the narrative is a bit cringe.

I did enjoy Danika's character in small doses and Zafir is definitely goals but idk, she keeps on not convincing me fully.

Alrightie finished the first installment of the trilogy and I genuinely enjoyed it. I felt like it was one of the best romances I read on this Valentine's Day marathon and discussed of interesting themes, although I found the writing at times slow and redundant. It also held so many typical flaws of the genre but it did prove that you can be sexual while also being loving and not demeaning.
