I was so excited to read this, but honestly I just want to smack Clariel in the mouth. You want to run away to the forest, Clariel? Well you BETTER MENTION THAT EVERY OTHER PAGE LEST WE FORGET.
She is one of the most annoying characters ever written and I hate her.

Emilie Autumn is a narcissistic, fat-shaming asshole. I thought I could get past it enough to read the book, but i HATE her. 2 enthusiastic middle fingers.

I'm not sure I'm going to be able to finish this one. It's really good but almost unbearably sad.

I hate this book. The central mystery is interesting enough that I want to finish. The endless description of hot 26 year old ass makes me want to throw it across the room.

I'm SO SICK of hearing how hot Tracy is. I GET IT. Randall is into her because she's hot, and they have lots of sex. She's not interesting, or funny, or useful. But she is hot! And her hotness will be described in excruciating detail every. Single. Time. She shows up.

It seems like this book is missing pages. Or chapters. Things are happening that make no sense.

This book is frustrating the hell out of me. More than half done, and I'm still being constantly teased that there's BIG SECRETS. No clue as to what those are, but our protagonist is told every chapter that he needs to be careful, that he doesn't know anything, and that there are BIG SECRETS. I'm also totally sucked in. The payoff for this better be amazing.

I like it. It's moving well. However, it reminds me of something...a movie? Another book? Reserving judgment for now.

Holy cats this book is good. It isn't easy to read though. There's all this complicated rawness that feels like you're right there in that cabin.
