I’m so sick of horror novels that feel the need to justify themselves every sentence. I get it, she’s poor and desperate and has no other option! I don’t need to be told every three paragraphs in the span of two pages.

The one-two punch of The Veldt and Kaleidoscope is genuinely mind blowing. Just insane confidence and quality right off the bat.
