What I like about this book is how there's some rhythm to it. I like how the author always goes back to the old lady eating the objects. I like how in every picture every drawing pops out and gets your attention.

This book is about a mouse who is starting Kindergarten and is very excited. He is ready to go the moment his mother wakes him up. Once they do arrive to school he starts getting second thoughts and thinks to himself that he isn't ready. But, eventually he sees how welcoming everyone is that he decides to stay.
I think this book is child appropriate and it motivates children to like the first day of school.
