Sherlock Holmes & the Christmas Demon
“Once again I feel I have missed my true calling. I should have gone into the theatre. I could have been one of the great tragedians of our times. But really! As if I would abandon the case just when it is ripening to fruition.”
Can Sherlock really talk like this? Ugh.

I have a lot to say about Patricia right now, but I'll wait! I just hopes she stops saying Sorry.

This woman, Mariana, is very quick and extremely capable of harboring negative feelings towards every person she comes in contact with. Every. Single. Person.
Ugh!

As a first, I don't like Mariana a lot. There is an extreme descriptive characterization which delays the plot.

This year has been a disappointment with completing my reading challenge. I wont lie, I have been leaving too many books halfway, which isn't impressive. Despite my TBR list piling high, I've indulged in Hindi Detective Series(lots fun) more often than I should.
I aim to focus more, stay calm and finish at least 15 books by the end of this year. Please wish me luck people!

‘We need readers,’ muttered Daniel Chard. ‘More readers.
Fewer writers.’
Just what I would prefer!

Throughout the book, did anyone know Rowena was expecting? All of a sudden she is having a baby? I mean how come!

I try my best to not abandon a book, but sometimes it gets too much and I find myself getting annoyed with the read, instead of enjoying it. More and more I am beginning to believe, and get comfortable with the fact that if a book is not proving to be worthy of my time, I must let it go.

I am really tired of reading unnecessarily long books. What exactly are the authors trying to convey by writing such long and extended scenes? Though I never like to skip pages in between, of late, in all actuality, I have come to the point of skipping whole chapters in order to reach the real scene of action.

I think this year could be about less but quality books. Books that would help me gain something more than just thrill.. books that would help me become a better person..books that would help me gain knowledge about world and stuff..books that would help improve my inner being, that would satisfy my brain rather than my heart.

Another gem i would like to use more often while dealing with stupids 'I don’t mind if you don’t like my manners. They’re
pretty bad. I grieve over them during the long winter evenings.'.

Just started with it and found this:
It was a girl.
She was twenty or so, small and delicately put together, but she looked durable.
DURABLE! *amused*

So, Hal talks to herself a little too much. I am hoping the rest of the book develops other characters too. I am kinda tired of Hal's inner voices now.

Curse of the Pharaohs (Amelia Peabody #2)
You know, I am not liking the way Amelia has been addressing emerson as 'my husband' at all times. Somehow, domestic life does not suits her. She got married and has been living a typical life, and her baby seems to be extra intelligent. Well, dont you think the complete family is
