A cute Christmas read. Love the advent calendar concept of a chapter per day. Just wish the characters and plot were more interesting, given the promising setting and concept. Felt a little disjointed. But stick with it to get to the bonus recipes!

Re-read in anticipation of The Golden Hour!

Trying hard to picture Lewis as anyone but Jason Clarke.

This is taking so long to finish. I hate it when a good series goes so steeply downhill. The shift partway through the series to self-publishing is very noticeable.

Just started and already noticed some glaring historical errors... this does not bode well.

What is the last book you read that became an instant favourite? A solid 5+ stars that you couldn't wait to re-read over and over again? I feel like it's been way too long since I read something like that.

Maybe it's the season, but I only want to read books about witches. Please recommend books about witches.

It's happened again. All my months-long library holds have arrived at the same time and my attention span is so low right now I can't focus on any of them! Right now it feels like seven unread books are going to be returned at the same time...

Picked this back up after I had to return it to the library before I finished. But now I've seen the show and it reads totally differently now. Much easier to keep track of character, at least.

No this isn't a mistake, I actually am partway through five different books right now.

I feel like now's a good time to start a re-read of 1984.

I wish this series wasn't being published in North America in reverse order.

I started walking to work and suddenly my reading challenge goes from being 6 books ahead of goal to 3 books behind! I have lots of reading to do this month.

I'm really curious about where this will go. So interesting and original!
