DNF. Boring.

DNF. Very bored by this.

3.75 stars. Not bad. A little slow to get started. A bit didactic, a bit too visibly engineered. Just my opinion. I will say that I’m interested to read more from this author.

3.5 stars. Good but not great. I’m a little disappointed, because Little Fires Everywhere was a book I liked a lot.
The worst thing though is that this book is close to some of what is actually happening now. Last night I read on Twitter that there is movement in Texas toward not allowing Chinese Americans to own property in Texas. Florida as a state is banning and removing books from libraries daily. Terrifying.

Do not like. Moving on.

This book feels like one long whine. I won’t finish it. There are so many other interesting things to read. The audio book is torture, read by the author, and her speaking voice is rushed and slurry. No thanks.

Meh. Stopped in the middle.

I love this book of short stories. It feels more like an autobiography because the stories are vividly told and so personal.
