A Different Mother by Rena Trefman Cobrinik is a wonderful read. It has many threads. I.E. It is a "family story," an "immigrant story," a story of a "tough old lady," who finally accepts the kindness of strangers in a Nursing Home. It is a historical sketch of growing up in New York City during the 1930's and 40's.
I could not put his book down. I give it an "A++++!!!"
