I always enjoy reading reimagined stories of the classics; especially those of Jane Austin. I think this book is a really good introduction for teens who haven’t read Austin yet.

This is a great example of a memoir story but in a different format. The characters, setting, and friends are real, which can be relatable for kids regardless of age.

I always gravitate towards retelling stories because they tend to freshen up an old story. It could possibly cause someone to read the classic. This story takes Sherlock Holmes in a new direction for new audiences: Holmes and Watson are young adults who are not only navigating crimes, but also impending adulthood. Characters Watson and Holmes are legendary, and it was so nice that acknowledged.
