Just like the show this book is mostly written by men who very clearly don’t understand or have no respect for women. Mulder is written as a fully realized human and Scully is a cardboard cutout who is only there to assist Mulder, to argue with him just to give him an opportunity to step on his soap box. There are a few stories in the book written by women, so I’m going to keep reading. Hope it gets better.
