This book deserves a slow reading. It's a quiet book, meant to dwell on. It's author is Southern and I hear the voices, sense the atmosphere of the Southern culture, one that I miss.

There is an undercurrent in this book that is sweeping me under, and I'm not the least afraid. "So grateful," he signed the first page. Yes, I'm grateful to him so far.

Jenny Savage is 50% done with Dorothy and Jack: The Transforming Friendship of Dorothy L. Sayers and C. S. Lewis
I am currently listening to the audio book in preparation for a group meeting with Gina Falfonzo. I am enjoying her writing and the content. She writes with clarity and makes reasonable connections between various themes. She seems to have enjoyed writing and researching this book which in turn has made this enjoyable to listens to.

I'm finding it interesting how elegantly, late 18th and early 19th century scientists/naturalists/poets described their subjects, especially in this case, snails.

Jenny Savage is finished with Redeeming Vision: A Christian Guide to Looking at and Learning from Art
While I haven't read the whole book, I am making a commitment to read a chapter a week and a bi-weekly visit to my local art museum to make what I learn a reality! I have skimmed it heavily, and I have no doubt this book will guide me well.Follow along for updates.

Jenny Savage is on page 49 of 288 of Hallowe'en Party: Filmed as a Haunting in Venice (Hercule Poirot, #36)
First Agatha Christie book compliments of my older daughter. 50 pgs in, and I'm wondering why I waited so long to read an AC book. Well written and conceived so far.
