Hailee is on page 305 of 576 of Witnessing America: The Library of Congress Book of First-Hand Accounts of Public Life
A really fascinating and intimate read for those comfortable with reading primary source documents with spare to no commentary! I love the structuring by subject matter, and I’ve been fascinated by each individual document for different reasons.

Hailee is starting The Art of Joy
I haven't been tho excited about a novel, or rather an author in a long time. Sapienza lived the life of a writer as I've always imagined it - writing for hours on end tucked away in an attic with a long chain of cigarettes, giving all she had until the point of destitution. I'm enchanted - I cannot wait to read this labor of thirty years.

I loved the show, but I love this even more. It has all the heart of the story and the characters of the show, but made better by the author's true accounts and technical knowledge.

Hailee is on page 97 of 275 of What Maisie Knew
I'm really enjoying this book! It's not often that an adult story is told through the eyes of a child, norma classic novel from the nineteenth century addressing a subject like divorce!

Hailee is on page 75 of 384 of The Unfinished Revolution: Voices from the Global Fight for Women's Rights
So far I don't agree with the negative reviews. Some said the book "preached to the choir," so to speak, by working to hard to convince readers about the problems women face world wide. Rather, I think it's doing the important task of making it clear that these issues must be a PRIORITY in international human rights efforts.

It's such an interesting premise, I read nearly 100 pages in half a day! However, I'll admit, the writing style isn't my favorite, a little slow and dry.

I'm really falling in love with the idea of herbs and herbal magic, despite the enormous effort it seems to entail. I don't know when in my life I'll be able to devote an entire room to drying and storing herbs (as well as magical workings), but I certainly hope to someday.

The idea of working with herbs is pretty cool, Hopefully I can put a garden together this spring. Although probably a lot of the pomp will fall to the wayside, haha.

Finally got through that big ol' introduction! It was slow going, but enlightening. New to the first play :)
