READ THIS WITH THE LIGHTS ON!!!

About once a month I get it in my head I like horror. It usually goes poorly.

This isn't a romance but Joe is low key pining after Barrack and upset their friendship didn't continue after their term and now there is ONLY ONE BED. The author has to be doing this on purpose.

Charming, but I find myself reluctant to pick it back up.

So odd.

This is funny and unserious, but I'm starting to get worried that almost 400 pages of this is going to wear on me. Hopefully some substance emerges soon.

I'm having such a good time with this.

Ooof! A horrific kill. I might have to put this book in the freezer for a bit.

The first Chuck Tingle book I have read where I really dislike the main character. Poppy Stringer is objectively terrible but I have faith that if Tingle can't make her redeemable she will at least be interesting.

This reminds me of early 2000's PNR's and I'm loving it.

Everyone is supposed to be 21 at this academy but Briony keeps referring to the other students as kids, girls and boys. I don't like it.

Is he even trying to get home?!??!

Struggling a little with this final installment. For the first two books we were mostly stuck in a magic library. Cool. Now we are stuck in a regular old castle. Less cool.

I'm giving this 50 more pages to whip up some chemistry between the main characters, then it's off to the chopping block.

There is so much sexual violence against women. I am glad this is a tragedy, and I hope every man dies.

It's growing on me.
