Definitely recommend the chapter as a while, but will try to share the specific paragraphs later

Not a good start. Right off the bat; America is a racist country (thought this would reference Loving vs Virginia, but no), America was formed as "a rights distribution mechanism", transactional marriage is specifically an American 'problem'.

It appears Zug has an agenda here and it isn't scholarship. If the book continues in this direction it will be a DNF I am glad I got from the library.

I've been picking at this one off and on.
It is a bit too academic in its presentation for my current mindset, so I am setting it aside for a while

Everywhere I look now, I see the sand required to create all the things. This I knew, but don't often consider.
What I never considered, is how much sand is required and how much damage sand mining causes.

Recently re-watched the Road Dahl movie version, decided I wanted to read the original Ian Fleming story. Quite sure it will be a different adventure all together

Very interesting story, not just of Sarah Winchester. The coverage of the Winchester Arms company is engaging, as well
