Interesting look at a slice of society at the time of WWI (as far as I've gotten). It's a different read than I'm used to and I am enjoying it.

I went to Mark's book signing at the Barnes & Noble Union Square. There was a woman who obviously wanted to coner him into saying that waterboarding was wrong- I have no idea how or why she wanted to do this. He very nicely informed her that there was no way we would have identified the messenger that led us to Bin Laden without the information that we got from (I forget his name) that hairy slob of terrorist.

Sometimes I read a book for the information and I read quickly with the goal of finishing the read. This book was filled with wonderful information and insights but the reading was so enjoyable that I found myself slowing down, digesting everything and figuring I'd finish when I finish. I am enjoying the ride.
