I loved this book so much. Part ghost story part revenge tale I loved every second of this book. I can already tell this will be a multiple re read for me. And Mara Wilson KILLS it on the audio book. I wish she had more books in her repertoire because she is a delight to listen to.

I'm having a great time with this audio book. This story is so interesting and Mara Wilson is the perfect narrator for this.

Listening to the audiobook and the introduction had me so riveted that I forced myself to shut my brain off as much as possible so I could listen without interruption because I didn't want to miss anything she was saying.

I was just reminded that this character is supposed to be 27 when she ordered wine. I've been picturing her as like...19 maybe because she's written so juvenile. If this wasn't an easy enough read I think I would DNF. I am not enjoying this book. The main character is wholly unlikable (but not in a way I think the author did on purpose) the dialogue is so uncomfortably stilted and I just don't care about the couple.

So far the main character is over the top mean to the obvious love interest. I like the trope Hate to Love but he has actually been nothing but pleasant and she's just mean.

Cute so far. The writing is a little offputting but I needed a palate cleanser before jumping back to my huge fantasy tbr so maybe this will be the thing.

She just found out that the wolf she just agreed to live with for a year is the one who disfigured her. Is the one who has caused her to be ridiculed, ignored and/or tormented by her whole town for 9 years and shes just...fine with it? She doesnt even have a moment of hatred or anger. Its just... cool?

Christina Lauren's writing baffles me. When they aren't having their characters flirt it's good and compelling. When they write them flirting I contemplate DNFing the whole time. I think I will probably finish this one even though it's as predictable as it is possible to be but this will be probably be my last Christina Lauren. I guess the Unhoneymooners-one of my favorite books this year-may have been a fluke.

You know what one of the many things I love about Sanderson is? He doesnt have the sophomore slump. The second books in his trilogies are always just as good or better than the ones before. If I didn't have work very early tomorrow I would probably stay up and read this one until I was done. It's soooo good.

Baby Waxillium newly trying to make a name for himself as a lawman in the Roughs might be my favorite character flashback ever.
