i really enjoyed “franny” both story and character. she reminded me a lot of “teddy,” again both story and character, and his idea that “everyone is a nun” and her’s of ceaseless prayer really struck me. nobody can be spiritual in america, yet we try and try but we just can’t make the mold of monks fit into capitalism. one of my favorites of all of salinger’s work that i’ve read so far!
