Damona is starting Heir of Fire (Throne of Glass, #3)
Starting part 2, finally! This book either drags its feet or runs like the wind... there's really no in between.

Damona is on page 101 of 427 of Roar of Sky (Blood of Earth #3)
As a relatively young person who has been slowly becoming more disabled, sitting here with my cane within arm's reach, page 101 made me cry. Not in a bad way, just... she gets it. It's nice to feel understood, even if it's by a fictional character.

So, I love baseball. Have since I was 8 years old. When A League of Their Own came out, I was one happy little girl! Somehow, I never realized that the ladies of the AAGPBL were NOT the first female ball players. I just learned about Alta Weiss (pg. 167 of this book) who, at the age of 17, in 1907, became a pitcher for the semipro Vermilion Independents. You go, girl!

I just can't get into this book. Just can't. It's going in the dnf shelf. I have so many others to read, I'm not going to waste my time.

One of the most fascinating books I've read this year.

Fascinating book, but, like a lot of non-fiction, it's slow going.
