A gripping account of basically one woman in the 60s, living a life less ordinary. Her father defines heroes as people who have served in the military … so she signs up and follows her brother to Vietnam. The book shows her coming to terms with the fact that life is fragile and strength can also be weakness. That’s my best account at hustling over halfway.
