Enjoying this book much more than the previous, despite that I continue to feel there was a big misstep in having one party trailing after the other in such a predictable manner… but I’ll go more into that in my review.

Otherwise, I’m regularly entertained.

Absolutely loving this book so far. Really speaking to me, my vision of childhood and early childhood education.

Meh so far. We’ll see.

I was looking to try something new and frankly softer and more lighthearted of a read. I found this recommended in the fantasy romance genre. Figured that would be what I’m looking for but this is not really doing it for me. It reads as rather inexpertly written, like someone’s early work. Everything is altogether too easy and everyone altogether too flat.

This book is greatly entertaining but also a bit too rough for me. Basically a world where being a good person is asking for trouble...

First book done. Bleaker, more brutal turns than I at times preferred.
