You know… despite reading and loving Abigail, every time I picked up this book I couldn’t get past the first page and after being in a very long reading slump and this being the book that finally kept my attention. I remember how great Magda Szabo is! It must not have been the right time back then because now I’m hanging onto every worse fence and enjoying myself!
