<spoiler> Yes June is awful but this book does well to open some discussions about race, racism and cultural appropriation in my opinion. It also highlights how awful the book industry or rather the fame within it can be. Did societal pressures push June to make herself more ambiguous or was it just borne from her jealousy and envy of Athena? </spoiler>
