Captivating as always DC Smith finds himself in a case that isn’t all what it appears to be. I love how this character is written and the interactions they have with those involved

Okay liking the protagonist more at this point

Not really into this…. Girl has a messed up idea of what a relationship should look like. And it doesn’t get any better. Are you supposed to hate all the options? There seems to be zero character depth to anyone so I don’t get it.

The writing isn’t always super clear on what’s going on. One scene will be in the bathroom and then zero context that she’s standing at a doorway to a ball and I have to read the page over again to understand the time and setting have entirely changed.

I don’t really feel like much has happened. Also the switching perspectives have been a little confusing at times, Christina, Ted and Julian all getting to have an inner dialogue, it hasn’t added as much to the flow of things.

Oh god, this man is like a 16 year old took over a GI Joe body. Every second thing out of his mouth is awful but somehow he’s charming her? His inner dialogue sounds like he could be a 30 something year old man but why does he have to mention her boobs every single conversation?
