After years of saying I would read it, I'm finally doing it!

I WAS at least drawn in by the mystery of Helena's missing memories and what could possibly be concealed, less than ideal grammar and writing aside. But wow, major sharp left turn straight off the road at about 24-25% in. I did not do my full research on this, instead just reading the blurb, for once trying to avoid spoilers or being swayed by others' opinions. Yikes.

DNFing from here. It's just.... too many words to not be further along in terms of either plot or character development.

Apparently Xaden has the world’s most expressive eyebrows. And is tall. That is all I have learned about him so far. Other than he is hot. So hot. Flaming hot.

Not gonna lie, I’m already bored with the very obvious enemies to lovers trope that is happening. Why is it always the dark haired dark eyed bad dude? Yawn.

DNF at around page 40 or 50. Just could not get into it. All the characters are tropes and not even good versions of them. It was just too meh.
