I'm trying my best to get through as many classics as I can this year. There's been redeeming qualities in each so far so I try to power through it even when they are miserable at time.

I'm considering abandoning this one though. I'm convinced this book only exists so Melville can show off his whale knowledge.

Ngl is getting kinda dull. Strong start tho.

Wow. I genuinely do not care about the subject matter.

Took me about 4 hours to really get into it. Good thing this audiobook is 53.5 HOURS LONG

Been bamboozled by the penguin cause none of these classics read even remotely similar as any of the other classics.

This one so far has been 10/10 suspense.

Getting back into this. Low key a crazy chapter to finish right before bed. I was stressssed lmao.

Not sure if it's going to stay this biblical through the book but it got real preachy in ch 9. My lack of bible knowledge + lack of experience with sermons = i don't get it :|

Maybe I should continue my bible read through just to understand these classics better.

I think the moral of the story isn't that lyndon b johnson is a lil weasel, but rather weaseling of that magnitude lives among us.

My high school brain couldn’t understand, let alone appreciate Shakespeare. But is k. I got to the to be or not to be part and got super excited. 🙃

Is getting repetitive. :( not a lot of new information presented compared to the first book

Sucks an entire quarter of this book is repeat / recap of the last book. Feels like barely anything new has been present thus far.

Young women are all dumb. Old women are all conniving. And all men are just absolutely the worst in every possible way has consistently been the moral of this story so far.

Audiobooking it, finished genesis. So repetitive...I don't wanna keep going. But also, already so many things I didn't understand from pop culture I now understand. Crazy how much everything in America is biblical or at least references the bible.

Incredible that in a story with literally 50 characters not a single one is likable.

Been meaning to read this book for months but it's never on sale. And here I am, finding the joy in libraries again.

Way more philosophical than practical so far. But a damn good read.
