AUDIOBOOK: currently on chapter 3.

Definitely is not approaching the biblical story with faith, but has a real admiration for the Bible that comes through. Love his writing style.

Here we go.

Really enjoying this book. Unique focus on an explicitly Reformation/Protestant view of spiritual formation. This is important in our current moment with the current craze over John Mark Comer, and the current trend of “retrieval” with Patristics/mysticism. Shows the rich heritage of Protestantism for spiritual formation focused on the solas.

Third year going through this during Lent. I appreciate the liturgical style, and its focus on repentance and the cross. Highly recommend.

40 pages in and truly struck by the quality of writing. Wasn’t expecting this from a Christian living book!
