Terri is starting A Secret Rage
Wow - to write this type of descriptive storytelling, Charlotte Harris must’ve had some eye for observing detail of people around her. I’m actually in awe.

Darynda Jones is hands down one of the funniest writers I’ve had the pleasure of reading - plus she builds great suspense. I wish I was a tenth as quirky and funny as main character Charley - oh yeah, plus the super powers.

This is the funniest dang book! There are laugh out loud moments - zany happenings where the writing is so good that I am cracking up while visualizing the scene. Healing laughs for my souls!!!

Starts slow and I questioned if it met the style I enjoy, and then it took off. Very fun.

I haven’t decided how I feel about this book. It’s a book for children and I haven’t decided yet how I’d feel about reading it to my daughter. I have to think about it. Will be sleep on it. Maybe read again.

Good points: how dialog is type set, illustrations.

This training Manuel was excellent. Great illustrations and explanation. Lots of sharing of techniques developed over years of paining. Loved the emphasis of planni g a Plano t and the quick sketching process. Highly recommend for those who want to yearn how to paint the sense of movement of water.

I pretty much skimmed this book. Some interesting history provided but a little too religious for me. Will find a spirituality book that is more general and less based strictly on Christianity. I think for someone immersed in the teachings of the Bible, it’d be great. I did gleam some good concepts and I’m always interested in the saints.

Again, I treated myself to a reread but instead by listening to it on audiobook. I am delighted!!! To feel like a kid again at story time. I especially like the laugh out loud moments. Wonderful writing and. Just the greatest narrator who reads the story. 10 stars. I love Harris’ writing.

This book is very good. I don’t know why it doesn’t have a higher star rating. The library system I belong to’s patron ranks it 2 stars which surprises me. I’m about a third through the book and it’s really holding my interest. It has a Kurt Vonnegut feel to it but quieter. It’s disturbing but with main characters who are outsiders and all so far with beautiful souls.

This book is a hoot. Funny! Fast paced. Over the top characters. Stereotypes galore and absolutely entertaining because of it. Tongue in cheek. For entertainment only.

There aren’t words to describe how much I loved this book. Beautiful, beautiful. I loved the prose, I love the characters. Anyone whose ever woke up in the morning had had stiffness and extreme pain can understand a little bad language. It slips out. This book is in my top favorites.

Ok people, those who don’t like this book - it’s just not your cup of tea - but those who do admire this book, I bet you feel in your gut, the gritty honest inner world that is Elena’s.
