Picked this back up again, the break was needed. Ready to dive back in.

Umm.. Shelving this for now, unsure if I'll come back to it. I'm a huge fan of Lindsay Ellis' video essays but this book is... Not good. I don't know how this even got released, likely just because of the Fan base they could target.

On hold for now. I feel after 6 novels I need a break. Plus, I've heard endless tales about how this and the next few are all massively downhill until Sanderson takes over....

No idea how much progress I've actually made as I'm listening to an audiobook. Almost done chapter 9 and it's starting to get interesting but it still feels like it's nothing more then a paper thin plot and story propped up by endless references to the 80s.

Only in chapter one. Listening to the audiobook narrated by Will Wheaton. Not sure exactly what percent that translates into.

Liking the premise of the novel so far, but it's really heavy handed on the 80s pop culture references to the point where I'm all ready worried that this novel may have no real substance other than nostalgia.

Wow, this book is so gripping. Such an amazing piece of journalism. You really get the feel of the chaos and confusion of close quarters infantry combat and just how quickly things spiraled out of control during the battle of Mogadishu. An absolute must read and I still have half the book to go.

Oh god, this is rough. So far this seems to be like some sort of BattleTech erotica leaning snuff piece. I may not finish this, it's just awful.
