Putting this on hold because I don't want to forget the most important part of the novel before I even get the chance to talk about it

Okay so good reads says this book has 224 pages but the PDF i downloaded only has 175 or something.... so idk if this progress bar is accurate. I like this but it is missing something-- I wish she would go into more detail about filming and her life and all that stuff.

I really enjoy how stupid Harker is in the first few chapters

Okay. I hate the MMC...I hate that both of his exes attend the wedding, I hate that the FMC is CLOSE friends with both of them, and I hate that they BOTH confide that they have an "unresolved" past with the MMC. I guess that is what makes it "problematic" (aside from the obvious 15 year age difference which, if we are being honest, isn't the worst thing about their "relationship")

This book is just so sweet--Flush is the cutest dog there ever was! Honestly, I did not anticipate that I would enjoy this as much as I am. The narrative is so playful

HOW am I the only person who thinks that Scarlett's cafe discussion with Penelope was SO STRANGE.
If someone told your FRIEND: "you must stay in an unsatisfying relationship because the dating pool is horrible rn" would you A) assure her that her happiness is important too or B) divulge all of your sexual preferences to her
Cuz Scarlett went with B and I just have to know what led her to that decision

I hate how, initially, the plot centered around her work/romantic relationship with Evans... i truly believe his only purpose was to show the reader that Elizabeth is a self-assured woman who refuses to compromise/abandon her beliefs for a man, even one she loves. Their dynamic was super underdeveloped, and the author raced from one "issue" to another..
