loving this, tbh. feels like galbraith when it was fun, before the hateful hag showed her colors.

i forgot how charming these are. and thanks to the show i have excellent casting to work with.

Probably not a great sign that I just want it to be done already and I’m dismayed to see 9 hours left. Having to put this down for a good long while I’m just burnt out on it.

The amount I don’t care anymore…. 12 hours left? Jesus why does everyone make every book in the series longer than the last.

I need to give these a break. Not enjoying it anymore, might come back

This is such an interesting glimpse into a cosy late-70s masculine empathy fantasy. Tonic masculinity. Where everybody knows your name, but with a splash of x-files. I don’t know how prevalent this mentality was at the time- enough in some circles to win the Hugo I guess. I haven’t run into anything problematic yet and hoping it stays that way, but I like it so far.
