the TV show truly did polish this into a diamond of the purest variety. the character development and world building in this book are all so dumbfoundingly poorly constructed that it makes me surprised somebody saw so much potential in this. i'm glad they did, though.

i might read the 2nd book to see what lies ahead (ahead of the show, even 👀), but im not sure I will as of yet. we'll see.

deeply touching, interesting, somewhat disappointing (and tedious) at times, a bit too on the nose... i'm conflicted about this one, but i definitely appreciate it

agora que chegamos ao terceiro ato, estou seriamente repensando se termino ou não esse livro. pra mim, o segundo ato foi, até agora, o clímax absoluto (do livro E do meu interesse pelo livro) e não sei se me interesso mto pelo rumo futuro da história. é um bom livro, mas com ctz não me fisgou tantou quanto As Primeiras Quinze Vidas de Harry August. uma pena.

vou ver se continuo ou não...

pra mim, a coisa mais fascinante dessa leitura é q é possível ver mto claramente a(s) estrutura(s) narrativa(s) q o autor aperfeiçoou em “Velar por Ela”. ficarei de olho nas proxs obras dele
