I really kind wish we had more character personality from Grace other than she the fact she eats, breaths and loves God and Jesus. Looking back I wish I had started taking note of how many times we’re told she’s a “God fearing Christian woman.” 🙄 sure she’s spunky and she can give as good as she gets but that’s it.

Listening on audio & too lazy to check how far I’m in but from where the first book left off at I’m pretty confused why it hasn’t been brought up in this book yet…I guess there’s still time 🤷‍♀️

Don’t really know where I’m at since I’m listening on audio but at one point I (out loud) said “A man must have wrote this.”…I was wrong lol but really, that one scene gave me the ick and now idc if the character manages to change or balance their ledger I’ll dislike them. Other than disliking that character I like everything else going on.

Extremely bored & not at all interested in anything about the characters or the world

Amalia is so annoying, she just lives her life carefree with no hardship and complains about her mom. I’m really hoping that Zaria forces Amalias eyes open or something freaking happens cause otherwise the rest is going to be boring af

I am really disappointed in Royce, Hadrian and Alric. Well mostly Alric, he really is kind of dumb and naive.

The plot was extremely simple (though I believe there is probably a snowball effect building).

Overall very bland and I could live with not reading any of the other books or the 2nd part to this one!

Of course {insert tragic thing} happens to make way for {thrown in subplot ~spice~}. I’m heavily rolling eyes.

Of course out of nowhere a random love triangle emerges

DNF at 287. The book isn’t bad but it felt very.....meh. The plot was very predictable so far and the characters felt unbelievable.

I skipped to the last few chapters to read the ending and I still feel the same way as when I decided to dnf.

Look Mr Gwynne it has taken me 3 years to get over the ending of Malice and when I finally feel like my heart has healed I pick up Valor and you break it all over again???

So her car gets fixed and then when some really scary shit happens she decides to stay with the dude instead of putting her NEICE inside her FIXED car and getting her to safety. Hmmmm why yes let me hunker down with this big sexy dude who is CLEARLY in some shit instead of being a grown ass adult and taking care of my niece

Chapter 2 remains my favorite so far. Non Earth evolution is something that has always drawn me.

Although I dislike the name Edenist i like how they have evolved. Their births, deaths and everything in between is really fascinating and takes the saying “It takes a village to raise a child” to a literal other level. They are a true community in every sense

I really don’t want to finish this damn long, boring ass book.

I might have a thing for tentacles but what really rocks my socks is a good story with and actual plot and character growth. I need a heck of a lot more than a plain tentacle fetish.

A lot of bad shot has happened already but my gut is telling me that something even worse is on its way.

A heck of a lot of nothing has happened. We’ve been given a ton of little threads that I assume will come together at point. It’s not bad but I’m starting to get bored.
