Polly is starting Bad Move (Zack Walker #1)
Arg, I slogged through half the book but I just couldn’t take Zack Walker’s character. He lived up to his own description of being ‘an asshole’ in far too many ways.

Anyone bothered by the ‘refrigerator’ in Vic Willing’s apartment? The author references the ‘hole’ where the refrigerator was, but then says Claire DeWitt collected fingerprints from the refrigerator, amongst other places. I’m enjoying the book but this inconsistency is niggling away and interfering with my enjoyment!

Wow, I’m getting a buzz each time I pick this book up. Erika Foster certainly creates a ‘frisson’! I’m trying to savour this and not finish it too quickly.

I’m in a quandary. This book is obviously not doing much for me given the fact that I still haven’t finished it. I almost got past the first protagonist, Rachael, only to find that the next portion of the book focused on another unlikeable character, Anne. Now I’m mired down in Grace’s back story. I may just give up as I really don’t care to find out whodunnit to who, with what, where, when or how!

I'm really enjoying Italo Calvino's literary style. At first I wasn't sure if I would be able to put aside my desire for a 'plot' but as I read on, I've become intrigued and I'm in for the ride. I'm equally impressed by the translator, William Weaver!

I've just begun to read "The Love Commandos" and I'm thrilled to embark on another journey into the world of Vish Puri! I might have to read the Epilogue first to check out 'Mouthwatering Dishes from the Vish Puri Family Kitchen'...Lucknow Mutton Biryani, Chubby's Peckish Pakoras, Coriander Chutney and Hungry Hungry Halva....drool!

I really appreciate an author who can make you chuckle with apt and colourful character descriptions, get you consulting a dictionary (eschatological, carphology and diapason so far), and turning the page with glee!

I'm really enjoying this Fred Vargas mystery! I keep putting it down, not because it isn't a page turner and highly readable, but because I don't want it to end.
