I will update with new comment and the review once I have finished but so far this book resonates so well with me in terms of loneliness, loss of speech, and blindness. Perhaps, I understand it through my own lens and experience as someone who moved across the world from Southeast Asia, to live alone for the first time in 20 years to study in Italy.
