So far, I am really enjoying this book. I’m feeling like Team Tess right now. She’s been through so much and she deserves to have Rose be in her life. Katherine making the custody battle difficult is the reason why I’m not a big fan of hers at the moment. Why would she ask Tess to not be in her biological daughter’s life? Just wild and delusional smh.

First off, I’m glad that Cam finally told Dez all the crap he was doing for the landlord. He should feel horrible that he’s putting his pregnant wife through all this stress! With that being said, I get that he was desperate for money, but his common sense truly went out the window. It took you almost witnessing a crime scene to realize that the landlord was up to something? When it rains, it pours chile

Cam FINALLY realizes that his landlord is wacky and dangerous. Surprisingly, he didn’t question all of the odd jobs his landlord was asking him to do. Mind you, his wife has no idea what’s going on smh. The Woodson family needs a lifeline asap 😭

Chile between Miss Carver and the landlord, I don’t know who is more inappropriate! Cam and Dez having to deal with a new surprise roommate is too much lol. It was such a shock and it doesn’t help that Cam has a lil crush on her smh

Cam and Dez are too delusional to put up with the foolishness that is happening in their new house. The story so far is interesting and I’m curious to see how their landlord continues to keep a watchful eye on the Woodson family

I see how the plot is thickening! Lord Griff was preoccupied with Lady Winters the night his parents were being murdered… very interesting. I am curious to know how he continues to discover the truth about his parent’s death now that Hanna gave him back his mother’s necklace.

So far, I really enjoy this book! This is my first time reading a historical romance. I like how the author is slowly showing the intrigue Hanna and Griff has for each other. I am curious where Hanna’s father got the necklace and how it may be connected to Griff’s parents. Definitely interested to read about how Hanna and Griff’s relationship progresses in the future

I am not a fan of Martha. She is so selfish and can’t give people the benefit of the doubt to save her life! I really hope she turns things around. I feel like she’s a huge contributing factor as to why the four Gardin women are so strained smh.

Tw // abuse, grooming

I’m reading the audio book and I really like it so far! The story is really captivating. Tiffany does a great job of showing the process of grooming and abuse. I find myself talking to the audiobook telling Enchanted to go back home. Really curious to see what happens next.

I cannot express how much it took for me to read this book. I mean, I literally had to force myself to read or listen to the audiobook after I got past 50% of the book. 😂 Whew, this book is a lot to deal with and I cannot wait to finish and give my final review.

Ah, where do I start? 😂 Edward is apparently in love with Bella even though he’s barely had an interaction with her. I believe that his mind stalking paired with his regular physical stalking of Bella has created a romanticized version of her in his mind. It’s interesting to observe how self aware he is about his obsession. Majority of the time when I’m reading, I’m just shaking my head lmao.

I’m currently reading the 5th chapter and I all I can say is, “Whew, chile this is a lot.” For starters, reading Edward’s perspective makes me realize just how judgmental he is! I lowkey thought this when I read the Twilight series 10 yrs ago, but now my opinion has been amplified. He sees Bella as this unselfish, good person, which is hilarious to me because if he could read her mind... Hmph.

So far, I think that this book is interesting. I find the online game world of SLAY intriguing as a read about the duels taking place. As of right now, the only character that I’m not really feeling is Malcolm. I don’t know if it’s intentional or not, but the character being a Hotep 24/7 is quite cringey and annoying. I think Steph is on to something about how irritating he is as a person lmao.

Things are really heating up! I only have about 60 pages left of the book and everything is getting exciting. I have a theory about what happened to Steph but I don’t know if I’m right just yet... 🧐

A little late on updating my progress but I’m about half way done with the book! So far, I’m liking the relationship between Rel, Jax, and Quady. I am also very invested in trying to figure out what happened to Steph. I find myself chuckling to myself as I read this book. Interested to see how everything develops!

I just started this book a little over a week ago and I am enjoying it so far! I first started listening to the audiobook when I borrowed it from the library and let me tell you, it’s been an awesome experience. It feels as if the story becomes more alive as I’m listening to each word. I’m lowkey into Emoni and Malachi’s relationship so I’m interested to see where it goes from here!

Special Circumstances has invaded The Smoke and everyone has been captured. Tally and David are the only two left at the site. Tally feels guilty for what she’s done and wants to rectify her actions. Even though, she keeps lying to David (which is a hot mess but I understand why). I’m definitely interested to see how it all ends!

It’s been so fun rereading this novel that I read as a teenager! The book is really picking up with Tally at The Smoke learning about the real secret to becoming pretty. Things are becoming *very* interesting between her and David as well. Definitely interested to see where things end up since I don’t remember what happens!

The first time I read this book, I was in high school so it’s nice to revisit one of my favorite books from Scott Westerfield. So far, I’m enjoying the relationship between Tally and Shay. It’s interesting to reread this book as an adult and examine Tally’s conditioned perspective on what it means to be pretty.
