I agree with many of the other reviewers. These are not 12 year old voices in the story. I am having a hard time connecting with the characters. Details do not line up. The mountain clearning is described in its beginning stages, yet the photo depicts an already cleared mountain. The fight with the teacher and the outcome was unrealistic championed an agenda over authority. Just not rining true.

The amount of detail and pattern of speech do not sound like 12 year olds to me.

The detailed content and patterns of speech do not ring true to me. I can hear very little of a 12 year old in this book.
