i’m updating as i read because i need to be publicly shamed for my lack of progress. i genuinely enjoy reading ulysses but in my head it is such a task so i keep putting it off .. and now im very behind.

i just finished aeolus (im using the joyce project for annotations). told with newspaper headlines - i really liked this chapter! clearer than past ones from.. what i remember (it’s been a while..)

i don’t normally like updating books but i’m halfway through and almost cried on public transport so i’m really scared to continue reading now

i haven’t been this interested in a book in months.. finally enjoying reading again is so freeing 🥲

the most unrealistic thing isn’t even the magic, it’s that two wlw are able to discuss their feelings openly and directly

i need to stop reading bc i literally have school tmrw but i already love this tbh and i can tell i’m going to love the characters

also i need to stop engaging in this bad habit of reading book i got for myself first because i have several books kindly given as gifts that i asked for but instead i’m reading random books i saw at dymocks. fml

literally hate how “lolitas” have become a desirable thing in society god

absolutely amazing so far! the world building is fantastic, and it was very difficult to put the book down.

So far, The Amber Spyglass is compelling and engaging and my favourite book of the series! I guess I have to read on to find out what is going to happen!
