Desire Under the Elms: 2. Maybe I'm tired of playwrights riffing off Oedipus or maybe my instincts are right and O'Neill didn't do what he could have done with his interpretation. Felt stale and dragged on. The only reason this is getting 2 instead of 1 is because the allure of the sky and the elms kept me going.
