I’m re-reading this and enjoying much more this time around. I listened to it the last time which I think took something away for me. Excited to see where it goes from here!

So Some good! Action packed and smoldering chemistry. I LOVE this book!

Love the story setup and the magic system. Excited to see how things progress given the ties to Arthurian legend and assuming the order was founded by enslavers. Love Bree! Love the social commentary of the American south. The author is also generally talented. Beautifully written prose throughout. I’m devouring this one!

Love the format. The glossary is helpful. The world building is approachable. This is the first time I’ve actually used a map when reading a novel to be honest. Also the paperback copy I got is a nice book to hold. So excited to see how things end!

Totally engrossed. I read almost half the book in a single day.
