This book took a while to grow on me, but, DAMN, this scene at the ocean 😭

I didn't know how much I needed a fantasy book with a lead character also trying to process her grief from a recently-passed close family member, and trying to navigate the ways grief is changing relationships around her. Damn this book is good so far.
