long time coming, long time to go

the book has been rather poignant so far. don't be fooled by its wholesome title...gladness is the name of a town.

So far it reads like it's demonizing hyperfemininity. I will be utterly disappointed if this is carried throughout the book.

miserable little guy has a miserable little crush

I was intrigued to read a critique/commentary on something as ubiquitous as photography. This did not disappoint. Although in order to fully digest the material this might warrant a second read.

It's about somebody working a tech job in silicon valley and dissociating to get through their work day. I picked it up in the middle of a work day too and now it is rousing interest.

The reading spree hasn't survived convocation it seems (⁠ ⁠･ั⁠﹏⁠･ั⁠)

Gotta love a book that's named after its female protagonist

The relationship between the characters in the book is too sophisticated for me. I'm excited to see what's in store.

Moving on to another book, I'll probably pick this one up later. Hannibal isn't cutting it for me.
