One of the most beautiful and perspective holding book I have read of a culture in Malaysia, particularly of Muslim countrymen and women in the East Coast! Nostalgic, relatable, intriguing, stimulating.

A beautiful convergence of 5 individuals within spaces from Malaysia to Shanghai. So much mystery in the storyline of each individual where their connections unveil towards to end. Love how the book depict characters from the 1st and 2nd person point of view, how different the perception is and how characters change with different people. Don’t expect a conclusion though- it’s for us to imagine.

I recommend this to people dealing with conflicts. Well researched, great anecdotes, well structured with self assessments to understand ourselves, our environment, summary at the end of each chapter and well articulated pros and cons of each tactic. Can’t say this enough: well written.
