Picked this book up on a whim while waiting on my scripts to be filled. There's no way to waste $4.27 right?

I guess these are typical suburban families but I'm having a hard time connecting with them.

I am having a hard time liking some of the characters and I feel like I can predict what is going to happen next. Writing is clear and interesting

The book has good flow and is quite simple. It seems even simple for a YA book. Good plot.

I am engrossed in this tale of Marcus growing up. As he tells the story of his friend defending him when children began to tease him about his race it brings tears to my eyes. While he does not dare to compare his story of race to the story of race in America, he focuses on his friends and family support that help him develop his own character.

On occasion I began to read a book and say wow that's creative...I'm saying wow on this one.

This book is a wonderful tale into motherhood reached by any means necessary. I can't put the book down.

Things are starting to become clearer through the use of flashbacks and a chance meeting at a superstore.

Still a little confusing by the rapid point of view changes. The book has a good story underlining it I'm sure. I keep reading it unable to figure out what's what. Maybe it is a book that requires a second read.

The book really forces to to read between the lines. its written in such a manner that you hear the sounds described in the novel and you wish that you to could read without seeing.
