So far, SO NOT IMPRESSED!
The fierce Feyre turns spineless and whiny. Maas changes Lord Tamlin, who was awesome in 1st book. Foul- Not fair. But excuse for F to leave and go hang with new guy I guess.
Also, so far, it’s so slow. All internal angst. Changing all characters’ personalities is a big no-no. And dialogue bleh.
I may or may not finish.

Eh. So far, I’m SO NOT impressed.
I enjoyed the “A Court of Thorn and Roses.”
But Feyre, the tough human girl who defeated the scariest Fae- suddenly becomes a spineless, whiny brat.
Lord Tamlin, in the first book, is wonderful. He saves Feyre rather than himself, 4 love.
What’s WORST is S. Maas changes Tamlin’s personality, obviously so Feyre can leave and do new guy. The excuses don’t fly.

Not sure yet, but I hope as good as the first! That one was special.

Well…the first five paragraphs alone may be the most surprising, confounding and “What in the world?!” start I’ve read.
Thankfully, the rest of the short first chapter reveals what our characters are doing, and also thankfully eliminating the score of craziest, creepiest possibilities. No idea WHY yet…. but at least they seem sane, lol.

Love it as always.
Feeling p.o.’d I feel an ending coming. I had to go back and reread or actually re-hear some parts. This author is funny, but he has some deep parts, understanding people parts and physics parts, that have a whiff of “truth” or at least “something to think about” that I love. Usually about that time, the character John says something, “Ok.”
I love this author.

Can’t finish

I just can’t finish. It’s too self-aware of its own cuteness. Gak.
(Personal note: Must admit as a believing Catholic Christian, I was Uber-turned off when Jesus and his mother treated rudely. Generally these books are for fun, and bringing in active faiths is an unspoken no-no, which further convinced me of this book series self-indulgence.) In the end, lots of stuff didn’t add up or entertain, so bu-bye.

Can’t finish. It’s too boring and doesn’t get to any point. It’s reached that awful point where I start laughing at the circles it’s going in.

I just don’t have it in me to keep going. He made fun of Jesus and that’s irritating and took me right out of, snap, whats that called? Reader’s willingness to suspend disbelief?” Then I realized how nothing was going on much much chatting up recycled gods and goddesses and talking smack with them... oh so hip. Bleh.

I can’t seem to finish. It got bogged down so badly I just couldn’t despite my liking of characters.

I can’t seem to get any farther. It’s driving me nuts. So slow. Too much cancer. Everyone sounds the same!!!! What happened here! I love this author!
