I'm giving up on this book! I don't like Hannah's writing style at all--it seems as though it's aimed at an 8-year old reader. And I also don't want to read about wolves killing goats while the protagonist listens to their bleating misery. I've now tried 2 Kristin Hannah books but both have missed the mark for me. The other one was Winter Garden-- it never got going & I got really frustrated with its inertia.
