Just so you know, I could only get my hands on the audiobook at my local library. It's the first time I haven't been able to get an ebook version before. Curious to see how it goes.

It's quotes like this that make me glad I picked this book back up.

I keep getting distracted by the lack of contractions.

I'm trying to hang in there and just. Can't. It's gotta be me because the scenes are good. It's just too many characters, I think. But then, I read Game of Thrones and had no problem with all the characters. I don't know what the difference is. Something to look at, I guess.

I can't seem to read this book right now. Not sure why. Owen's still cute (and doesn't seem to have changed much since the last book). There's a fairy godmother involved, which should bring me in but I'm just not there. I like this series, but maybe I'm not in the right frame of mind for it. It's going on my Maybe Later shelf.

Why does this book feel like it's dragging?

Reading this because the premise sounds interesting and also because she's gotten a lot more books written in the series. In fact, I think she's finished it (curse my poor memory). So, I'm curious. Not to mention, I like the name Retrieval Artist. Very nice. :)

And I'm done.

I actually started this book a few weeks ago. Keeping track of it here so I'll finish it. So far, this book is interesting. Very accurate. Very realistic, even in the bedroom scenes (no seven hour marathons here). If I can read thick tomes like Lord of the Rings, I can finish this book.

I think this series is now my favorite fantasy romance series.

That was one of the best introductions of a hero that I've read in a while. Really liking this book.

Good start. I like that she's a comic book nerd. I also like the way her psychic abilities are handled. Looking forward to reading more...sometime. :(

Moving. No books for a while.

Fun story. Nice twist with Andrew Vari from the previous books.

Funny start. So far, I like it.

Still good, though I'm starting to wonder what the point of this is. I like Kim's intelligence. It fits very well with Mairelon's. And they both have a curiosity that has to be satisfied. Very nice.

Excellent beginning! The chapters are well-defined and the story flows quickly and well. Amazing book so far. Looking forward to seeing where Wrede takes it. (It doesn't hurt that I see Cumberbatch as Mairelon, in spite of the height difference.)

I like the newer cover much better than this one. The cover for this edition makes him look like he's from the Renaissance or something. The newer one is much more accurate.

My mom died this past week. I've been trying to carry on as if it didn't matter, but I can't. I'm sorry if you've sent a message and I haven't responded. Give me two weeks and I'll try to answer your message. Also please forgive all the books that get added with either only a line or two, sometimes even with no review at all. I'll try to remedy that eventually.

Trying to whittle down my To Read list. Got two ILL's from the library: Otomen #10 and Completely Smitten. Plus, I got Pimsleur's Basic Japanese. I'm hoping it'll help solidify my reading skills. Plus, it would be pretty sad if I were able to read Japanese, but not be able to hold a decent conversation!

Having a hard time hanging in there, right now. Not sure why. I like the heroine, I like the hero, I've figured out the heroine's gift and wonder how horrified she'll be by it, and yet I'm having to push myself to read this. Maybe it's the fact that he's wounded and lying in bed? Maybe I really love action? Ah, well. I'll keep trying.

You know, as much as I'm enjoying this book, I would have loved hearing about all those other couples mentioned in this one. Instead, this book skips straight to the last couple. I hope we get to hear those stories at some future point.
