i'm so culturally oblivious i absolutely could've been convinced this was a real band i'd never heard of if not for the fact that the dialogue is wooden as hell. now that there's so much animosity between the characters i don't know if i care to continue reading about some guy bitching bc the head of the band gets more attention than him

Luke is on page 178 of 369 of Things in Jars

the writing got a bit better for a bit

but now - "how do we make this villain obviously evil? hmm. let's just list things it'd be really messed up to kill and have him kill them all just to show how Evil he is"

also there's this weird thing where it seems like the author expects people to be opening up the book and tuning in midway - yes i remember he's a ghost, you don't need to remind me again thank you

Luke is reading Future Home of the Living God

While I understand the comparisons to the handmaidens tale this was far better imo

Luke is starting Dark Matter

the author is soooo pretentious god you don't need to take so much time explaining the multiverse theory and schrodinger's cat the average layman understands this shit

great for if you like generic sci-fi with some misogyny and middle grade-level messages on identity and self
