Fun & witty, SyFy meets noir detective

Didn't care for it - never finished

I liked the beginning, but it has shifted into some graphic violence so I have set it aside.

I had great hopes as I have enjoyed Christopher Moore before, and of course, everything is better with squirrels; but just couldn't get into it - returned to library.

Got bogged down, the story line was not holding my interest. I don't plan to finish.

I stopped part way through. Just didn't hold my interest or amuse me.

continuing to plod along...I'm still interested enough to want to know how it turns out, but it's taking a long time to get there.

I probably should have checked out Goodreads reviews before I started this psychological crime thriller. I am enjoying it, although it is a little slow - so I checked progress & was slightly dismayed to see I was only at 15%. As a reviewer stated "this is not a beach read". For now it is continuing to keep my interest (at 25%), not sure if I'll have the patience to finish.

I am quite enjoying the unique storytelling perspective of death a narrator. I didnt get a hint of that from anything Id seen.

I am enjoying the storyline, and I'm enchanted with the author's skill with language. I can't remember another novel where I have wanted to highlight sentences, read them aloud, just to savor the words.
